Registration of production and operational activities by foreign (regional) enterprises in the Chinese mainland

For the registration of production and operational activities by foreign (regional) enterprises, the following documents are to be prepared and submitted:

Application Materials

1. Application form for registration (filing) of foreign (regional) enterprises engaging in business operation in the Chinese mainland (mandatory);

2. Approval document issued by relevant authority (non-mandatory);

3. Legitimate business operation certificate of the foreign (regional) enterprise (mandatory);

4. Introduction letter issued by the Chinese cooperative unit (non-mandatory);

5. Project contract (non-mandatory);

6. Creditworthiness certificate of the foreign (regional) enterprise (non-mandatory);

7. Letter of the chairman or general manager of the foreign (regional) enterprise appointing the person in charge (mandatory);

8. Capital verification report (non-mandatory);

9. Articles of association of the foreign (regional) enterprise and list of board members (non-mandatory);

10. Certificate for the use of premises (business domicile) (mandatory).

Application Procedure

1. Submission of complete and legally formatted documents:

(1) The registration authority confirms and completes the registration on the spot.

(2) If immediate registration is not possible, the registration authority completes the registration within three working days. In cases of a complex situation, with approval from the person in charge at the registration authority, an additional three working days can be granted.

2. Incomplete or improperly formatted documents:

The registration authority informs the applicant of the materials requiring correction.
