Following the success of the Chinese Film Exhibition in Mexico in 2023, the Shanghai Art Film Alliance is to host the highly anticipated Mexican Film Masters Exhibition from May 25 to June 2, as part of the upcoming Shanghai Film festival.

The screening will take place in the Grand Theatre in Jing'an district. It will showcase six cinematic gems from four distinguished Mexican film masters, including the visionary works of Guillermo del Toro and Alfonso Cuarón.

Renowned for its captivating screenings, the Mexican Film Masters Exhibition stands as a hallmark event organized by the Shanghai Art Film Alliance, which is known for its retrospectives featuring iconic figures like Kubrick, Polanski, Herzog, as well as Japanese, French, Russian, and Italian film maestros.

The six films curated for this year's event are Victims of Sin (Víctimas del pecado), A Time to Die (Tiempo de morir), Deep Crimson (Profundo carmesí), The Devil's Backbone (El espinazo del diablo), Pan's Labyrinth (El laberinto del fauno), and Only with Your Partner (Sólo con tu pareja).

Each film has undergone digital restoration, with some being the latest restoration copies. This ensures a high-definition viewing experience that caters to the discerning tastes of cinema enthusiasts. Additionally, certain films in the exhibition will feature Chinese subtitles that will enhance the event's accessibility.
