Design enthusiasts and industry professionals are gearing up for the highly anticipated Design Shanghai 2024, Asia's premier international design event, scheduled to take place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre from June 19 to 22.

With over 600 design brands hailing from more than 40 countries and regions, Design Shanghai 2024, now in its 11th edition, will spotlight innovations across four key categories: furniture and lighting, kitchen and bathroom, lifestyle and accessories, and new materials and applications.

From renowned Italian brands like Emu, Ethimo, and Formitalia to Japanese minimalist makers such as Karimoku Case and Ishinomaki Laboratory, the event will showcase a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation in design. Notable participants also include international names like Viccarbe from Spain, Lalique from France, Maria Yee from California, and Sun at Six from New York, each offering a unique perspective on contemporary design trends.

In the realm of lighting design, brands like L&S, Icone Srl, and Leedarson will redefine interior aesthetics, while emerging brands like Sugarwave and Restudio will emphasize the intersection of design, technology, and sustainability.

Interdisciplinary studios focusing on commercial trends and sustainable development, such as Uncertain Lab and Misplaced studio, will present diverse exhibits, showcasing global design excellence.

The event will also revolutionize kitchen and bathroom spaces, transforming them into hubs of innovation and a new kind of lifestyle. Global brands like Electrolux, Liebherr, and Gorenje will showcase cutting-edge concepts that seamlessly blend design, technology, and quality, while top cabinetry brands like Poggenpohl and Leicht will offer luxurious environments and imaginative designs. The bathroom sector will highlight energy efficiency and smart innovation, with brands like Kohler integrating advanced technology with aesthetic design.
