Over 400 experts, executives, and technical personnel convened at the 2nd VDMA Industry Future Fit Conference in Shanghai on June 4, delving into the realm of artificial intelligence within the manufacturing sector to brainstorm innovative ideas and solutions.

Hosted in the Zizhu National Hi-tech Industrial Development Park located in Shanghai's Minhang district, the conference was organized by the VDMA, the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association. Comprising 35 industrial associations and over 3,600 member enterprises, VDMA, the largest industrial association in Germany and Europe, advances the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.

Throughout the event, a plethora of experts, scholars, and corporate leaders shared cutting-edge research findings and practical insights on AI's application within manufacturing. They collectively affirmed AI's pivotal role in propelling industry transformation and enhancement, foreseeing its pivotal role in intelligentization and digitalization.

While the benefits of AI technologies were underscored, the conference also addressed pertinent challenges, including global AI regulation and its significance. Attendees engaged in roundtable discussions, emphasizing AI's central role in driving global technological innovation. Notably, China and Germany were identified as having vast cooperative potential and promising prospects in this transformative landscape.
