Putuo youth forum highlights innovation, finance and technology

The Shanghai Y50 Forum Putuo subforum convened at the Central International Hotel in Shanghai's Pudong district on June 16, showcasing a dynamic platform for innovation and entrepreneurship. Themed "Technology Leads the Future, Finance Empowers Innovation", this year's subforum shone a spotlight on Putuo district's commitment to technological advancement, modern finance, and talent cultivation. It also emphasized its dedication to fostering a conducive environment for burgeoning entrepreneurs and skilled professionals.
Bringing together a coalition of government entities, businesses, and educational institutions, the event aimed to forge a robust ecosystem for youth innovation and entrepreneurship. By fostering seamless integration across innovation, industry, capital, and talent sectors, the initiative sought to bolster support for young visionaries and business trailblazers.
During the subforum, the district unveiled a series of initiatives, including a science and technology innovation fund tailored to meet the needs of enterprises and talents. Additionally, the district released an innovation and entrepreneurship roadmap, designed to streamline access to key resources, reduce information search costs, and enhance the overall business landscape.
Under the guidance of the Shanghai Y50 Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Shanghai Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Team, the formation of a mentor team comprising experts and entrepreneurs in Putuo's key industries was announced. A professional service team, encompassing specialists in finance, law, taxation, and other critical domains, was also established to provide comprehensive support to aspiring entrepreneurs. Additionally, collaborations with six local industrial parks were solidified during the subforum, aiming to underscore the district’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent by providing young entrepreneurs with tailored guidance and resources.
The event also played stage to the launch of the Shanghai-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Camp, which is set to cater to budding entrepreneurs from involved regions.
