Shanghai's 'People's City' exhibition concludes but accessible online
The 55-day "People's City – Shanghai's Best Practices in Building a People's City" exhibition, held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, concluded on Dec 30.
Attracting over 260,000 visitors both in-person and online, the exhibition showcased the achievements of Shanghai's five-year initiative to become a city that prioritizes its residents.
The exhibition served as a platform to deepen the understanding of the "People's City" concept and to inspire further collaborative efforts towards its realization. Over 8,500 organized groups visited the exhibition, including various levels of Party organizations, educational institutions, and private companies. Many incorporated the visit into their educational programs, employee training, and team-building activities.
A dedicated area for collecting public suggestions saw an enthusiastic response from residents, who contributed their insights and ideas for the city's development through written feedback and interactive displays. The exhibition organizers received a total of 258 written suggestions.
While the physical exhibition has now closed, a virtual version of the exhibition is now accessible to the public through the "Hongtu" (红途 in Chinese) mini-program on WeChat and Alipay. This online platform ensures that the exhibition's message and impact continue to reach a wider audience.
