The 2025 Shanghai Lavender Festival is set to become a celebration of nature, culture, and leisure from May 17 to June 2.

Hosted at the Shanghai Lavender Park in Shanghai's Pudong New Area, the festival promises an aromatic escape with its 31,000-square-meter park featuring 70,000 Provence Lavender plants, alongside an array of integrated cultural, recreational, and consumer experiences.

This year's edition elevates the lavender spectacle by merging regional tourism offerings to create a comprehensive vacation destination. Visitors have the chance to explore diverse offerings, including themed camping zones, live music performances, gourmet food markets, and art exhibitions, all designed to craft an immersive, multi-generational experience.

At its core, the festival emphasizes "social linkage", a strategy that unites local businesses, scenic spots, and nearby towns to foster a collaborative cultural and tourism ecosystem. A unified ticketing system will grant access to partnered attractions, streamlining exploration across the region.

Key collaborations include partnerships with Disneytown and Bicester Village Shanghai offering additional shopping and recreational opportunities, while sports enthusiasts can engage in cycling, tai chi, archery, and dragon boat racing events.

Local hotels and recreational brands will offer bundled packages, ensuring a seamless "one-stop" getaway.

Additionally, an art exhibition, developed in partnership the Shanghai Publishing and Printing College's Institute of Modern Media Technology and Art, will weave lavender motifs into interactive installations.

Targeting families, the festival blends leisure with creativity through hands-on workshops, lavender-themed art interactions, and child-friendly activities. Organizers aim to position the event as a premier destination for immersive family vacations, where diverse consumption opportunities shine alongside ample relaxation and play.
