The 2025 World Design Cities Conference, co-organized by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, will take place from Sept 25 to 28 in Shanghai.

The main venue will be in Huangpu district, with additional events staged across the city and overseas.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of Shanghai's designation as a UNESCO "Creative City of Design".

The conference, hosted by Shanghai for the fourth consecutive year, aims to foster global collaboration in design innovation and urban development.

The program will feature domestic and international exhibitions, themed forums, and industry sessions.

A major highlight is the "Shanghai Design 100+" exhibition, which will showcase 300 outstanding works spanning industries, lifestyle, urban services, and future concepts.

The "Shanghai Design 100+" competition will also present four annual awards in AI innovation, cultural creativity, and sustainable design.

Public voting for the awards is open until Sept 7, and one lucky voter will win a new energy vehicle.
