The three-day race traversed Shanghai's "five new cities"—suburban towns in the districts of Jiading, Songjiang, Qingpu, Fengxian, and Lin-gang in Pudong New Area. Covering a total distance of 284.6 kilometers, the race tested the endurance and skill of over 110 riders from 20 top professional cycling teams representing 10 countries.

Despite facing scorching heat and high humidity, the competitors showcased exceptional resilience and skill, underscoring the high quality of this newly upgraded International Cycling Union (UCI) 2.2-level event.

Pita rides for the Huansheng-Vonoa-Taishan Sport Team and was followed by Danish cyclist Alexander Salby, who took third place.

Chinese cyclist Li Zhen, representing the China Anta-Mentech Continental Cycling Team, finished in 5:39:25, earning the White Jersey as the best rider in Greater China.

"This race gives me an opportunity to see my shortcomings and learn from high-level foreign athletes," said Li. "I think the cycling atmosphere in Shanghai is among the best in China."

The course of the event connected a diverse array of Shanghai's iconic landmarks and unique landscapes, including the Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading district, Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park and Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, both in Songjiang district, as well as Dishuihu Lake in Lin-gang. This seamless integration of urban development and cultural heritage with cycling highlighted the city's commitment to promoting sports and tourism.
