Shanghai is set to host the 2026 Pudong Furniture and Home Expo from Sept 7 to 11, bringing together the 31st China International Furniture Expo (Furniture China) and the 2026 Maison Shanghai Modern Design Week.

The expo will be held at two main venues. The Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center will host the 2026 Maison Shanghai Modern Design Week from Sept 7 to 10, highlighting design, trends, and lifestyle. The Shanghai New International Expo Centre will host the 31st China International Furniture Expo from Sept 8 to 11, focusing on manufacturing, trade, and the supply chain.

The event will showcase the strength of original Chinese design, bringing together hundreds of domestic design brands alongside international brands from France, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Turkiye, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Germany, Romania, Russia, Canada, and other countries.

More than 20 thematic exhibitions will be held, including the "BRANDHIGHLAND" exhibition, which will explore the evolution of Chinese furniture from "products" to "lifestyle" and "workplace solutions" under the themes of "Symbiosis" and "Innovation".

The prestigious Golden Point Award, a major award in China's design field, will continue to be chaired by Prof Dr Peter Zec, founder of the Red Dot Award and its brand ambassador. This year, the award system will expand to include parallel tracks: the China Furniture Design Golden Point Award and the China Architectural Decoration Golden Point Award.
