Bauma China 2026, a prominent international construction machinery trade fair, is scheduled to take place in November at two venues: the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.

This year's edition will span a record 400,000 square meters of exhibition space, the largest since the fair debuted in China in 2002.

The expo is projected to attract nearly 4,000 exhibitors from around the world. The exhibition at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre will run from Nov 24 to 27 and primarily showcase traditional machinery and technologies, such as heavy machinery, construction vehicles, and components.

Meanwhile, the exhibition at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center will run from Nov 23 to 26, focusing on future technologies and industrial ecosystems, with major forums and live product demonstrations also planned. Visitors can access both venues with a single pass, and regular free shuttle buses will operate between them.

In 2025, Shanghai hosted nearly 1,000 exhibitions, cementing its status as one of the world's leading convention and exhibition cities. It also ranked first among major cities worldwide in the number of exhibition organizations and exhibitions certified by UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. Furthermore, all 10 of the world's leading exhibition groups have set up operations in Shanghai.
