Tomorrowland announces full lineup for Shanghai festival
The Magic of Tomorrowland, which is set to return to Shanghai on Oct 17 and 18, has officially unveiled its dazzling full artist lineup, featuring an expanded and immersive experience.
Tomorrowland, one of the largest and most iconic electronic music festivals in the world, made its sold-out debut in China in Shanghai last year, drawing over 20,000 people from around the world to join the celebration.
Following the successful and exciting inaugural edition, Tomorrowland, together with its partners Budweiser, Hero Esports and INS Land, is set to present this year's The Magic of Tomorrowland at Hero Dome in the city's downtown Huangpu district.
Returning bigger and bolder than ever, this indoor spectacle — themed "Planaxis" — plunges audiences into a fantastic underwater kingdom filled with giant shells, seahorses, coral-like structures, fountains and a wealth of other marine details.
The show will once again bring together the festival's signature storytelling, world-class production and electronic music culture with cutting-edge technology and local creative elements.
This year, each day will feature its own carefully curated artist roster. On the first day, Swedish house maestro Axwell and the Belgian DJ and producer Lost Frequencies are ready to blow the audience away, joined by other DJs including Bhaskar, Carly Wilford, DJ Sally, Hauzer, Linska, MC Stretch, Morten and Nosi.
On the second day, Grammy-nominated and multi-award-winning Dutch DJ Tiesto would take the stage alongside Alison Wonderland, R3HAB, Evin King, Joel Corry, Mansun Lui and Miss Monique.
The venue, Hero Dome, has also undergone a major revamp to host this experience better. It now features a 99-meter curved LED screen and 80 ceiling screens to create a 360-degree immersive visual environment that fully surrounds audiences in an underwater spectacle.
Meanwhile, for the first time, GA Plus ticket holders will have access to an exclusive new site, named Harbour Villa, a premium space to relax and enjoy the festival throughout the weekend.
Fans can also discover an expanded range of locally inspired official merchandise created exclusively for the Shanghai edition.
Ticket sales will commence in early September and will be available through the official platforms such as INS Land App WeChat mini-program, Damai, Ticket Planet, PLVR, Juss Sports and Mei-Ta Zhenxuan.
