What would you do if you got sick while abroad? Would you feel anxious?

What if even a local community hospital could offer you fast, convenient, and friendly care?

Earlier this month, a 32-year-old Polish woman named Ola shared her pleasant surprise after visiting a community hospital, all captured in a first-person video.

On May 13, while on a business trip in the city, Ola began experiencing a persistent cough, a runny nose and fatigue.

She first tried over-the-counter medicine, but when her condition did not improve, she searched online for medical help.

She decided to visit the Zhonghai Healthcare Station, affiliated with the Dapuqiao Community Hospital. The station was the nearest medical facility.

Shortly after 10 am, Ola arrived and was quickly seen by a physician, who conducted a preliminary diagnosis.

Recognizing the need for further treatment, the doctor swiftly arranged for her to continue treatment at the main Dapuqiao Community Hospital, where a hospital worker volunteering as an interpreter accompanied her throughout the visit.

Following her consultation, Ola received the necessary tests and medication, all within just 45 minutes.

Upon leaving the hospital, Ola expressed her gratitude to the doctors and praised the smooth and efficient process, noting that even though she doesn't speak Chinese, everything went surprisingly smoothly.

Situated in the heart of downtown Shanghai, the Dapuqiao Community Hospital is the first certified community hospital in the city and serves around 2,000 patients daily.

This year alone, the hospital has already seen 21 visits from foreign patients.

To better meet the medical requirements of international travelers and short-term visitors, local insurance providers are working with the hospital to develop tailored insurance products.
