Wiley Krapf, an associate professor of law at the East China University of Political Science and Law, has made Shanghai's Changning his residence since 2007.

Originally from Chicago, he says he has developed a profound fondness for the district's leafy streets, convenient lifestyle, and warm, hospitable community. "Changning has truly become home to me," he says in the video.

Krapf visits several sites that exemplify the district's implementation of whole-process people's democracy, including the Local Legislative Outreach Office Exhibition Hall at the Gubei Civic Centre in Hongqiao Subdistrict.

He praises Changning for thoughtfully integrating community voices into governance and commends its transparent, inclusive approach to decision-making.
