Columbia Circle is situated in the historical area of Shanghai's Changning district. It is a compound that used to house, among other things, the old Navy Club, the Columbia Country Club – a popular hangout for Americans in the 1920s to 40s – and the villa built for Dr Sun Yat-sen's son Sun Ke by Hungarian architect Lazlo Hudec.

Nowadays, the circle has turned into a stage that hosts a variety of cultural events, including suspense dramas, a coffee festival, an immersive art festival and new urban stage performances.

Beyond these, the circle offers rich exhibitions, lectures and markets, further solidifying its status as a burgeoning cultural and artistic landmark in Shanghai. Moving forward, there are plans to extend its influence into the city by leveraging resources and embracing countless possibilities, with ongoing performances and the anticipation of more interesting events.
