Visit Changning for breathtaking cherry blossoms
As cherry blossom season peaks, two cherry blossom avenues in Shanghai's Changning district — on Kaitian Road and at the intersection of North Guangshun Road and Beizhai Road — are blooming with enchanting flowers. Kaitian Road is showered in petals, creating a breathtakingly romantic scene.
A blossom-filled commercial area
On Kaitian Road, delicate pink and white cherry blossoms form a dreamy canopy. A gentle breeze sends petals drifting like snow, enticing visitors to stop and capture the beauty.
"I look forward to this every year. The cherry blossoms here are stunning," said a local visitor. Another tourist shared, "After admiring the blossoms, I can explore nearby shops and enjoy a meal — it's a perfect experience."
The charm of Kaitian Road is enhanced by IM Shanghai's landscaping. Around 120 early blooming Japanese and mountain cherry trees have been planted, adding a touch of springtime romance to the urban view.
A floral greenway
Another scenic cherry blossom greenway at the intersection of North Guangshun Road and Beizhai Road offers visitors a diverse floral experience.
Near SKYBRIDGE HQ, it features 16 varieties and 75 cherry trees, allowing visitors to admire multiple types of blossoms in one visit, with flowers blooming from late February to April.
This 300-meter red-paved path showcases vibrant cherry trees, offering a picturesque retreat amid Changning's bustling cityscape.
