Pursuant to a notice from the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau concerning the issuance of interim provisions for foreign nationals to take the accounting professional and technical qualification examination (Notice [2019] No 40), foreign nationals who meet eligibility conditions and work legally in the Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone can register for the accounting qualification examination. The entrants should meet the registration conditions for the level they have applied for. This includes having an academic degree or diploma that is recognized by education administrative authorities in the People's Republic of China, a valid document showing the length of time spent working in the accounting field, a valid identification document, and a valid document demonstrating that they are working legally in Lin-gang Special Area. The eligible individuals must submit an application to the Administrative Committee of Lin-gang Special Area for a registration eligibility review within the timeframe.
