New Arrival market opens at Xuhui West Bund
Shanghai's West Bund Dream Center came alive on May 20 with the opening of the New Arrival Market, a highlight of this year's Shanghai Digital Life Week and part of the seventh Shanghai Shopping Festival. The market offers visitors a dynamic blend of shopping, technology, and interactive experiences, making it a must-visit destination for locals and tourists.
The upgraded market features over 100 brands across eight themed zones, showcasing local products, international food, cars, digital gadgets, lifestyle items, and regional specialty products from Zhong Guang You Pin and the Oriental Beauty Valley. More than 20 Taiwan-funded companies operating in Shanghai are also participating, offering beauty products, snacks, fitness equipment, and household care items.
Leading technology and internet companies, including Tesla and Meituan, are present, alongside consumer brands such as Dr. Yu, Kans, Laiyifen, and Ganso. Popular rice-cracker maker Want Want debuted new plant-based milk and soy milk products at the market.
Beyond shopping, visitors can enjoy interactive games, stamp-collection activities, and prize draws. The Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre also staged pop-up street theater performances and interactive experiences, adding a cultural dimension to the event.
