Shanghai is set to come alive with the sounds of the guitar as the 2025 Shanghai International Guitar Festival returns from July 20 to 25. This premier event will see world-class guitar maestros coming together in Minhang district, transforming summer nights along the Huangpu River into a symphony of melodies.
Since its inception in 2014, the Shanghai International Guitar Festival has been held six times, growing into a pivotal platform for global artistic exchange. This year, the festival promises an even more spectacular lineup and a richer array of activities, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Lasting six days, the festival will feature three community concerts, three themed concerts, and numerous performances by renowned artists. Among the distinguished guests are several internationally acclaimed guitarists, including the young Spanish prodigy Ausias Parejo, who at the age of 18 has already garnered 39 international awards, and Fernando Espi, the Spaniard celebrated by the media as one of the most outstanding guitarists of his generation.
