Fengxian district is celebrating its annual Fuyang feast from July 11 to Aug 24, continuing a centuries-old tradition rooted in Zhuanghang town.

The term Fuyang refers to the custom of eating mutton during the hottest days of summer, a practice long cherished by locals for its nourishing qualities. This year's festival combines rich culinary heritage with a lively lineup of music, light shows, cultural events, and family-friendly activities, offering visitors a full spectrum of food, lodging, entertainment, shopping, and leisure activities. Highlights include:

Mutton feast

Time: Daily from 5 am to 10 pm
Location: Various mutton restaurants and farms across Fengxian district

Electronic music carnival

Time: Every weekend during the festival, from 7:30 pm to 9 pm
Location: Fuyang Square

Light and shadow show

Time: From 9 pm to 9:30 pm
Location: Fuyang Square

Sound and light show

Time: Performances at 7:30 pm to 7:45 pm and 9 pm to 9:15 pm
Location: Qianshe · Cloudscape landmark

Music and food night market

Time: Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm
Location: Fuyang Square

Peach & pear picking

Time: Daily from 8 am to 10 pm
Location: 30 meters east of the Fuyang Square

Family activities

Time: Daily from 5 pm to 10 pm
Location: Fuyang Square & Zhuanghang Huayu scenic area

How to get there

Address: No 4399 Nanzhuang Road, Zhuanghang town, Fengxian district

1. By car:

From Puxi: S4 → G1503 (Puwei Highway exit) → Nanzhuang Road → Huami Zhuanghang scenic area
From Puxi: Kunyang Road → Minpu Third Bridge → Puwei Highway → Nanting Highway → Zhuangliang Road → Huami Zhuanghang scenic area
From Pudong: Jiyang Road → Puxing Highway → Pingzhuang Highway → Zhuangliang Road → Huami Zhuanghang scenic area

More than 500 parking spaces are available across four parking areas near the venue.

2. By public transport:

Take Metro Line 5 to Fengpu Avenue Station, then Fengxian Bus No 28 to Zhuanghang Bus Station, and transfer to Zhuanghang Line 2 to Zhuangliang Road Pandian Road Station.
From Nanmei Line (Jinjiang Paradise Park Metro Station) or Xinnan Special Line to Nanqiao Bus Station, transfer to Nanjin Line to Zhuanghang and then Zhuanghang Line 2 to Zhuangliang Road Pandian Road Station. Alternatively, walk east to Baishun Road and take Fengxian Bus No 26 to Pandian Village Station.
Take Puwei Line (Pudong Tangqiao → Zhuanghang → Jinshan) to Zhuanghang, and transfer to Zhuanghang Line 2 to Zhuangliang Road Pandian Road Station.
