The 2025 Jinshan Tourism Festival is in full swing, offering a vibrant mix of family fun, cultural arts, gourmet experiences, and night adventures. Running through October, the festival provides fresh and exciting ways to explore Jinshan. Don’t miss these must-see events!

Shanghai Tourism Festival float parade: Jinshan segment

On Sept 21, the highly anticipated float parade of the 36th Shanghai Tourism Festival will roll into Fengjing town's Lefen Road. This spectacular event will showcase 25 floats from across China and abroad, giving visitors a close-up experience of the festival's grandeur. The Jinshan segment will highlight local culture, blending regional traditions with the festival theme to create a captivating float exhibition.

Golden Week carnival

From Oct 1 to 8, Jinshan City Beach will buzz with festivities during the extended National Day Golden Week, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The carnival will feature art, intangible cultural heritage, and interactive experiences, promising a memorable holiday celebration.

Marine fishing culture festival

From Sept 28 to Oct 8, Zuiyu village will host a marine fishing culture festival. Visitors can enjoy traditional activities such as drumming, folk dances, seafood cooking competitions, and stalls featuring intangible cultural heritage.

Fengjing town group wedding ceremony

On Sept 20, the picturesque Fengjing Ancient Town will host its renowned water town wedding ceremony. Couples from across the country will dress in traditional wedding attire to participate in this unique group wedding. The event blends water town characteristics with classical rituals, offering visitors a deep dive into the unique wedding culture of Fengjing.

2025 Zhujing lantern cultural and tourism carnival

From Sept 28 to Oct 8, the Shanghai Blooming Garden will glow with the 2025 Zhujing lantern cultural and tourism carnival. The event will feature cultural performances, lantern displays, night markets, and bonfire gatherings, encouraging all visitors to join in.

2025 Langxia town thousand-person folk dance event

Scheduled for mid-to-late September, Langxia town will host its traditional lianxiang folk dance, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of Jinshan since 2007. The event highlights the rich cultural value and lively spirit of this local art form.

Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival in Jinshan

Shanghai is set to kick off the 2025 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival with a grand event at Langxia Countryside Park in Jinshan on Sept 23. The celebration will be complemented by the Jinshan harvest carnival, held from Sept 20 to 27 at the Shanghai Blooming Garden, featuring cultural performances, specialty agricultural product exhibitions, and traditional farming experiences.

Jinshan flat peach festival

The Lyuxiang Fruit Park is hosting the Jinshan flat peach festival until Oct 8. Visitors can enjoy fresh peaches at the fruit market and participate in a variety of engaging interactive activities. As night falls, a special lantern show promises to take guests on a magical journey, adding an enchanting touch to the festivities.

Lyuxiang Fruit Park Golden Week carnival

During the National Day holiday, Lyuxiang Fruit Park invites visitors to a unique cultural celebration where ancient myths meet modern fun. Join the mythical quest, collect stamps for prizes, try your luck with fortune sticks, and enjoy traditional performances such as shadow puppet shows.

Galsang flower cultural and tourism festival

From late September to early October, the Shanghai Blooming Garden will be in full bloom with colorful Galsang flowers. Visitors can enjoy the autumn scenery while participating in painting, orienteering, bonfire barbecues, and food festivals.

Caojing Shuike Scenic Area National Day activities

In early October, the Caojing Shuike Scenic Area will present a variety of holiday activities. Visitors can enjoy night kite flying, agricultural fairs, and traditional markets, along with exciting new offerings such as local food tastings, pottery workshops, and cycling tours.
