Jing'an light season returns with spectacular displays, cultural marvels
The second Shanghai International Light Festival at the Jing'an sub-venue, together with the Shining Shanghai Jing'an light and shadow season, will return from Sept 29 to Oct 8, bringing a dazzling array of visual experiences to the city.
During the festival, the Suhe Bay waterfront platform will be transformed from its regular light displays into a vibrant light hall, offering visitors an unforgettable experience.
The Shining Shanghai International Light Art Open Call will also return at Suhe Bay's Shenyuli, inviting participants and spectators to capture the season's brightest memories.
A highlight of this year's program will be the debut of an immersive Dunhuang-themed cultural zone in Jing'an Park, where traditional Chinese culture will be reimagined through light and shadow artistry.
Throughout September and October, the festival will collaborate with shopping destinations such as Jiuguang Department Store and Suhe MixC World to launch special activities and promotions.
Furthermore, a district-wide stamp collection activity will further enrich the experience, encouraging exploration and engagement.
