The Shanghai Tourism Festival classic season is in full swing, featuring over 200 events. While the festival is city-wide, Putuo district plays a major role, offering a wide range of captivating activities. Here's a look at the events planned in Putuo.

Shanghai Tourism Festival float parade

On Sept 15, 25 vibrant floats that creatively display the tourism offerings, regional characteristics, and traditional culture of the involved areas will be showcased at Shanghai Global Harbor.

Jay Chou's pink pop-up

From Sept 13 to Oct 20, the Suzhou Creek Half Marathon Park will host a pink-themed pop-up spot by pop singer Jay Chou's official anime IP "Classmate Chou". This will be part of a larger carnival, linking resources from the cruises on the Huangpu River, boats on the Suzhou Creek, buses, and hotels to create a one-stop experience of dining, entertainment and shopping.

Shanghai International Light Festival

From Sept 28 to Oct 5, the second Shanghai International Light Festival will take place in Putuo district, featuring the theme "Light Up Shanghai". This event aims to invigorate urban spaces through light and shadow art, showcasing the city's vitality, promoting its culture, and highlighting its spirit, all while boosting confidence in commercial prosperity.

Romantic Suzhou Creek Wedding Ceremony

A grand wedding ceremony for 100 couples will be hosted at the Moganshan Road art district in September. This unique event invites participants to share a romantic and unforgettable moment of happiness.

Putuo's shopping season

During the Suzhou Creek Half Marathon Cultural Tourism Festival, Putuo district will collaborate with major business communities and cultural-tourism complexes to offer various art exhibitions, markets, performances, and tourism destination promotions to further stimulate the integration of culture, commerce, and tourism as well as drive consumer engagement.

Shanghai Yuan Dynasty Water Gate Museum activities

On Oct 1 and 2, the Shanghai Yuan Dynasty Water Gate Museum will host unique Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day activities.
