Minhang district hosts 6th Jiangnan Foodie Festival
The much-anticipated 6th Jiangnan Foodie Festival kicked off on Sept 14 in Minhang district. This year, the festival spans four areas: Meilong, Jiangchuan Road, Hongqiao, and Gumei Road.
Running through September and October, it offers an immersive journey through the culinary and cultural landscapes of the Jiangnan region (south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River). Attendees can look forward to a rich array of gastronomic delights and innovative product showcases.
Festival schedule
Libo Plaza in Meilong town (Until Sept 16): The opening ceremony of the 6th Jiangnan Foodie Festival and the first Meilong Trendy Toy & Food Festival took place at Libo Plaza on Sept 14. Visitors can explore a fresh food experience and lifestyle consumption scene combining culinary delights with pet markets, sporting events, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and car shows.
Jinping Road in Jiangchuan Road sub-district (Sept 19-21): Step into a lively Jiangnan atmosphere focused on community-friendly consumption. Barbecue and skewers take central stage, complemented by a vintage book market, parent-child crafts, and a tech light show, making this event an ideal family-friendly destination.
Laowai Street in Hongqiao town (Sept 24-30): Hongqiao is set to celebrate global flavors and cultural diversity. Attendees can enjoy a vibrant multicultural fusion with international cuisine, blind wine tasting, and Latin music performances.
Longming Road in Gumei Road sub-district (Sept 25 – Oct 12): Embrace trendy leisure and social scenes with live jazz performances, craft beer tastings, and trunk markets. The event is designed to attract and engage young audiences with its lively atmosphere.
