The 25th Urban Forest Flower Show has opened at Shanghai Gongqing National Forest Park. As a featured exhibition of the 2026 Shanghai International Flower Show, this year's event also coincides with the park's 40th anniversary. Set against a natural woodland backdrop, the show presents five themed exhibition areas, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in a spectacular spring landscape.

Highlights

Visitors will encounter immersive, nature-inspired installations at Camphor Square. A rustic artificial tree anchors the space, accompanied by an acorn-shaped wooden cabin that doubles as a stage for small performances.

The park further features a living art scene where flowers and greenery combine with artistic elements such as paint palettes and brushes.

A forest food market brings together themed food trucks and art-inspired dining pavilions, offering a taste of spring through a unique forest dining experience.

An eco-creative market draws inspiration from Southern French market styles, featuring white tents and vintage wooden carts. Stalls offer handmade crafts, postal souvenirs, and floral arrangements, creating an immersive market space where nature meets art.

In the leisure and relaxation zone, visitors can participate in activities including plaster painting and wish bottle crafting, all within a tranquil natural setting.

A series of free public workshops offers hands-on experiences such as vase painting, botanical frame making, and plant-based art. Visitors can also join educational activities centered on plant and insect identification and soil ecology restoration.
