The 2026 Shanghai Jinshan City Beach International Music Fireworks Show will light up the night sky on May 2 and 4. Tickets are now on sale.

What to expect

This year's show features a major technical upgrade. The largest fireworks shell in eastern China will make a stunning appearance, sending golden sparks cascading like waterfalls. The dazzling display will stretch nearly 300 meters across the night sky, perfectly synced with a professional sound system that lets the music resonate with every heartbeat.

For the first time, two of China's top fireworks teams, from Liuyang in Hunan province and Pingxiang in Jiangxi province, will go head to head. Both cities are renowned fireworks hubs in China, known for their long history and traditional craftsmanship. Their competition promises an extraordinary display of romance through world-class creativity and technique. Adding to the excitement, international teams from Spain and Brazil will also take part.

Beyond the fireworks, the evening will also feature traditional cultural performances. A fire pot show, a form of intangible cultural heritage, will warm up the crowd with a stunning interplay of fire and water. A flying fish kite, another heritage piece, will rise from the sea and sway through the air in rhythm with the fireworks, offering an immersive cultural experience alongside the visual spectacle.

During the May Day holiday (May 1-4), Jinshan City Beach will also host a festive market featuring food, drinks, shopping, and family-friendly activities, making it a one-stop destination for celebration and enjoyment.

• The four-person package includes fixed seating with a dedicated view, complimentary gifts, and bottled water or soft drinks.
• No beach admission tickets will be sold on event days. Entry is by fireworks ticket only, valid for a single entry.
• All tickets are date-specific. Seats are assigned. Tickets are non-refundable once sold.
• Fireworks viewing is allowed anywhere in safe areas outside the reserved seating zone.
• One adult may bring one child under 1.3 meters free of charge.
