Legoland Shanghai Resort has rolled out a brand-new themed event, Lego Monkie Kid Celebration, running from April 17 to May 17. The park is offering a variety of new experiences during this time, including a fresh ride, limited-time interactive activities, updated live shows, and creative brick-building sessions.

A new ride opens to all

After nearly a month of trial operation, the highly anticipated attraction, Lego Monkie Kid Flower Fruit Mountain Adventure, is now open to all visitors. Inspired by classic Chinese literary tales, the ride combines physical sets, lighting, sound effects, and a motion-based ride system to deliver an immersive experience.

Guests board a boat and travel through the hidden realms of Flower Fruit Mountain, joining Monkie Kid and his heroic team as they explore an ancient, danger-filled site. As the boat slowly rises to a high point, riders come face to face with a 10-meter-tall Monkie Kid mech before experiencing a thrilling, steep drop and a dramatic splash.

Themed interactive activities

During the event, visitors become Monkie Kid's adventure partners, completing various challenges across the themed area. Those who finish the trials can step onto the Monkie Kid Glory Stage and take part in a hero baton-passing ceremony. Guests staying at the Shanghai Legoland Hotel can also take on additional challenges and earn a commemorative certificate.

New shows and building experiences

The park is introducing a special brick-building session that combines Lego bricks with traditional Chinese shadow puppetry, teaching children how light and shadow work through hands-on play. In the Monkie Kid-themed zone, children can also build their own version of the Monkey King using Lego bricks.

Live performances and character interactions are all centered on the Monkie Kid theme. A variety of shows will run throughout the day, including themed song-and-dance medleys, stage plays, fun interactive sessions, and puppet shows.

Themed treats and specialty drinks inspired by the Monkie Kid world will fuel visitors' adventures. New retail products, including Monkie Kid plush toys and themed apparel, are also available for families looking to take home a souvenir.

Ticket offers

Legoland Shanghai Resort is offering a themed family package that includes park admission and exclusive access to events. The Shanghai Legoland Hotel also provides a special rate for guests staying in a Monkie Kid-themed room, combining accommodation with extra perks for a more convenient and enjoyable stay.

Tickets and packages can be purchased through the official app, WeChat mini program, or third-party platforms such as Ctrip.
