2026 Shanghai cruise tourism season to set sail in Baoshan

The 2026 Shanghai Cruise Culture and Tourism Season will run from May 1 to 20 along the Baoshan waterfront. The event will offer a wide range of activities, including fireworks, markets, live music, and sports competitions.

Long Beach carnival

From May 2 to 5, a 2.3-kilometer stretch of the waterfront from Shanghai Sea World shopping area to Long Beach Tower will transform into an open‑air carnival. Five market zones will feature food, pet products, anime and gaming goods, creative crafts, and local Baoshan specialties. Street performers will also entertain visitors with musical flash mobs and instrumental shows.

Wusongkou air theater

On May 1, from 7:30 pm to 8 pm, a light show celebrating the 40th anniversary of the classic Chinese animation Calabash Brothers will illuminate the night sky over the Wusongkou cruise port area.

Classic music concerts

Three concerts will take place on May 1, 10, and 20 at Long Beach Concert Hall, featuring Seasons of Long Beach, the timeless Canon, and music from the film The Legend of 1900.

Waterfront sports events

From May 1 to 4, the Baoshan waterfront will host a countryside cycling challenge, a family marathon, darts competitions, and kite flying displays. These events cater to both recreational participants and families.

Annual sailing regatta

From May 8 to 10, the waters off Wusongkou International Cruise Port will host the 2026 Shanghai Cruise Port Sailing Regatta. Professional sailors will compete, delivering an exciting show for spectators.

Welcoming ceremony for Costa Serena

On May 19, China Tourism Day, the cruise ship Costa Serena will return to Wusongkou International Cruise Port. A welcoming ceremony featuring Chinese cultural elements will be held to mark the occasion.

How to get there

By metro, take Line 3 to Baoyang Road Station, exit from Gate 1, and transfer to bus Baoshan 29.

By bus, take routes 51, 160, 728, Baoshan 29, or Wusong Riverside Line to the Wusongkou Baoyang Road stop.
