The 13th Sheshan Summer Carnival is now underway at Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, bringing together the resort area's theme parks, hotels, dining experiences, and nature education programs.

The season features more than 20 activities, covering music festivals, family fun, summer camps, and specialty dining.

Music and nightlife

From July 3 to Aug 30, Shanghai Happy Valley hosts the 2026 EV Music Party, with performances and water-splashing parties from day to night.

Family fun

New family-friendly summer activities are now available. Through Aug 31, The Smurfs Theme Park offers interactive mirror games and adventure-coin lucky draws, creating a fairy-tale experience for visitors of all ages.

Meanwhile, the inaugural lantern art festival at Jegoplay Too Pancoat Park takes place on weekends, featuring bubble shows, water fights, shadow puppet performances, and lantern night tours, giving families a magical summer evening in the countryside.

Nature and science

Chenshan Botanical Garden presents its water lily exhibition in August, with interactive photo opportunities featuring giant water lilies.

From July through August, Shanghai Astronomical Museum opens its evening stargazing sessions, where visitors can observe the night sky through a century-old telescope and attend astronomy talks.

Summer camps

Sheshan resort offers summer camps focused on nature, technology, and sports. Chenshan Botanical Garden's night program immerses children in plant science through hands-on activities. Funtastic offers five-day drone racing camps and 10-day UAV innovation camps, with official certification available upon completion. Laliga Academy Shanghai hosts summer soccer camps with full-day, half-day, and overnight options, as well as tennis and golf programs.

Summer dining

Summer in Sheshan is also a treat for the taste buds. Hotels including InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, Hilton Shanghai Songjiang Guangfulin, and Le Meridien Shanghai Sheshan are offering seasonal dining specials, ranging from fine dining to casual fare.

Train-ticket perks

The resort also offers exclusive benefits for visitors arriving by high-speed rail. Visitors with a valid ticket stub or travel record for arrival at or departure from Songjiang Railway Station, along with valid ID, can enjoy discounts at participating attractions, hotels, shopping destinations, and restaurants throughout the resort.
