Celebrate early summer with smoky flavors at the Laowaijie American BBQ Festival, part of the Americas Flavors season of the 2026 Global Taste in Shanghai program.

Running from May 15 to 17 at Laowaijie, also known as the Hongmei Pedestrian Street in Minhang district, the festival brings together themed restaurants from more than 10 countries, including the United States, Brazil, and Argentina, across over 20 food stalls.

Barbecue takes the center stage, with offerings such as American-style grilled pork ribs and burgers, Brazilian churrasco, Mexican tacos, and more. Visitors can complement the food with ice-cold beers or signature cocktails for a true summer feast.

Beyond food, the festival features live entertainment, with bands and DJs setting the rhythm for energetic evenings. Guests can also enjoy classic games such as cornhole, darts, and water pong, take part in face painting, or capture memories at the festival's photo wall.
