More events for Asian Flavors Season roll out across Pudong
The 2026 Global Taste in Shanghai Asian Flavors Season is now in full swing in Pudong New Area.
One of the season's highlights, the inaugural Beer Festival at New Bund Red Lane, was held on July 25 and 26. The event showcased more than 40 beverage brands from around the world, grouped into three themed areas focused on European and American craft beer, Asian flavors, and local specialties. The lineup featured century-old craft beer brands from Germany and Belgium, alongside well-known Chinese names such as Reeb and Jing-A Brewing.
Shopping areas across Pudong have continued to roll out new dining events throughout the summer.
LU1885, which reopened earlier this year with a retail concept inspired by pocket parks, has hosted two editions of its Tequila Festival, featuring more than 20 leading bars from across China. Guest bartenders served creative cocktails made with tequila, whisky, gin, and other spirits. An outdoor stage and interactive activities helped transform the venue into a popular nighttime gathering spot for office workers and trend-conscious visitors. A third edition of the festival is scheduled for August.
The "We Fun Summer: Beer, Sports, and Lifestyle" campaign runs from July 17 to Oct 24 in Weifang Xincun subdistrict. It spans four major shopping centers and three specialty streets, offering a dedicated summer guide and recommended food trails.
Traditional flavors are also part of this summer's lineup. At Amphibio Paradiso in Zhuqiao town, the Fuyang Food Carnival highlights the traditional summer custom of eating mutton on the hottest days of the year. Visitors can explore the mall's existing international dining options alongside mutton specialties.
To further encourage spending, Pudong is issuing 10 rounds of dining vouchers through Sept 30. The vouchers are released every Friday at 10 am on the Meituan and Dianping apps. Users can search for "浦东环球美食消费券" (Pudong Global Taste Dining Voucher) on either platform to view the rules and participating merchants.
