The 38th meeting of the International Business Leaders' Advisory Council (IBLAC) for the Mayor of Shanghai opened on Oct 11. Prudential Chair Sir Douglas Flint said AI is key to serving more people more efficiently and on better terms. AI could in the future help warn customers of extreme weather and disease transmission risks, giving them more opportunities to take preventive action and reduce losses. Flint also discussed working across industries to strengthen cyber-risk protection and build confidence in AI governance and ethical frameworks.
