The 38th meeting of the International Business Leaders' Advisory Council (IBLAC) for the Mayor of Shanghai was held on Oct 10 and 11. Manulife CEO Phil Witherington said that AI must be underpinned by strong data, clear governance, and modern operating models. He also said Shanghai's strong ecosystem and focus on real-world applications would help the city capture the opportunity to lead in scaling AI across regulated, data-intensive industries.
