The Shanghai Intellectual Property Protection Center launched its Yangpu branch in Yangpu district on May 8, aiming to enhance IP protection and drive innovation.

The Yangpu branch aims to provide high-quality, efficient services to support the growth of innovative enterprises and facilitate the transformation of IP into actual productivity. It features a one-stop service hall and initiatives like a mobile IP court, streamlining IP protection processes.

At the launch ceremony, Rui Wenbiao, director-general of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, emphasized Yangpu's role as a key innovation hub in Shanghai, highlighting its efforts in implementing comprehensive IP strategies to support high-quality economic development.

He said that the new branch is a strategic move to bolster IP protection and foster an environment conducive to innovation and technological advancement.

Rui also expressed hopes that the branch will develop the "Yangpu Experience", a model for leveraging IP to empower technological growth, so as to contribute to Shanghai's goal of becoming an international center for scientific and technological innovation.

Zhou Haiying, head of Yangpu district, stressed the importance of integrating IP with technology, finance, and industry to enhance service delivery and accelerate innovation. He envisioned the Yangpu branch as a hub that not only serves the district but also extends its influence across Shanghai and connects with national IP networks.
