The Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (CEBSIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, is now recruiting outstanding postdoctoral researchers from China and abroad.

About the center

Formerly known as the Institute of Neuroscience, CEBSIT was founded in Shanghai on Nov 27, 1999. It focuses on fundamental research in various fields of neuroscience and currently has 54 research groups covering molecular, cellular and developmental neurobiology, systems and cognitive neuroscience, as well as research on the mechanisms of brain diseases and methods for their diagnosis and treatment. In April 2019, CEBSIT became a scientific research institution officially recognized as an independent legal entity.

CEBSIT has made notable achievements over the years, with its research results selected among China's top 10 scientific advances on multiple occasions. To date, the center's postdoctoral research station in biology has trained nearly 400 postdoctoral fellows, more than 10 percent of whom have established independent laboratories after leaving the station. There are now 120 postdoctoral fellows at the station.
