Shanghai unveils first pet-themed post office
Shanghai unveiled China's first pet-themed post office at the Longhua Road Post Office in Xuhui district on March 26, integrating public education and pet-related services.
Shanghai Post issued commemorative envelopes and special postmarks to mark the opening, featuring designs inspired by the pet-themed post office and postal elements, while promoting values of companionship and responsible pet ownership.
The unveiling drew residents and stamp collectors eager to experience the themed services.
The post office features four functional zones, including a public education area promoting responsible pet ownership and a community service section offering adoption events and free veterinary consultations.
It also includes a service area providing practical support tailored to pet owners' daily needs, alongside a retail section selling themed stamps, postcards, and other collectible products.
The venue is set to host weekly activities on responsible pet ownership, including lectures and interactive sessions to raise public awareness.
