Shanghai assembles team of entrepreneurship advisors
Shanghai launched a new group of innovation and entrepreneurship service advisors on Nov 5 during a conference named "Gather in Shanghai, Co-create the Future".
The group is dedicated to supporting overseas Chinese in developing their businesses in the city.
The event drew over 300 participants from 17 countries and regions, including entrepreneurs and young scientists.
Xu Feng, Party secretary of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, highlighted that, by 2023, Shanghai had become home to over 70,000 foreign-invested enterprises and more than 900 regional headquarters of multinational corporations. For 11 consecutive years, Shanghai has been recognized as China's most attractive city for overseas talent. Shanghai sees an average of 370 new tech companies established each day, with the total number of high-tech enterprises now surpassing 24,000.
The conference also marked the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Shanghai's Yangpu district and the Italian Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
