Yangpu Global Startups Competition begins semifinals
The 9th Yangpu Global Startups Competition officially launched its semifinals on Feb 19. It showcased 1,247 high-quality projects from around the world, marking new records in terms of both the quantity and quality of entries.
For the first time, the competition has included Internet content creators in its selection process, adding a cultural and creative track.
This year's event has expanded its global reach, extending Yangpu's innovation to regions including North America, Europe and Asia, creating a new global collaboration network.
In addition to receiving subsidies through Yangpu's talent program and residency support, this year's outstanding winners will also gain access to direct investment opportunities. By connecting with initiatives such as the Shanghai Talent+ and the Chunhui Cup competitions, as well as market-driven venture funds, the event offers a combination of "policies + capital."
The semifinals were held in a hybrid format, combining online and offline presentations. Each participating project had 8 minutes for a roadshow followed by 5-minute Q&A session to highlight their strengths.

Over the three-day event, 332 projects aligned with Yangpu's industrial focus were presented. These projects are centered on cutting-edge fields such as future intelligence, high-end manufacturing, information technology, life health, cultural creativity, and green, low-carbon innovation.
