Shanghai's first town-level talent policy of 2025 released

Shanghai's Changzheng town in Putuo district has introduced the city's first town-level talent policy of 2025, aiming to address talent's housing and settlement needs.
Under the new policy, high-level talent working at newly established or relocated enterprises in the town may receive more rent subsidies.
Eligible individuals with a doctoral degree can receive an additional 3,000 yuan ($420) in monthly rent subsidies on top of existing benefits, with the total subsidy capped at 5,000 yuan per month.
Those with postdoctoral research experience are eligible to receive an extra 4,000 yuan per month, with a maximum subsidy of 7,000 yuan per month.
Additionally, master's degree holders in particularly high-demand fields and top-tier overseas returnees starting businesses in Changzheng town will be eligible for home loan interest subsidies, making it easier to purchase a property.
