Pujiang Innovation Forum seeks youthful insights into tech innovation
The Pujiang Innovation Forum has launched its fifth annual "Seeking the Voice of Youth" initiative, inviting young science and technology professionals to share their perspectives on innovation. The submission deadline is 3 pm on July 15, 2025.
Organized by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, the program aims to provide a platform for young people, foster connections among young innovators, and inspire further innovation. The initiative is open to individuals aged 40 and under.
Participants are encouraged to submit 1,000-word essays in one of two categories. The first, "Voices for Governance and World Benefit", focuses on the future development, policies, and governance of emerging sectors like biotechnology and quantum computing.
The second, "Voices for Innovation", addresses the commercialization of future industries or the transformation of traditional industries, analyzing the gaps between research outcomes and industrial requirements.
Winning applicants will be honored as "Pujiang Innovation Forum Youth Innovation Pioneer", receiving a certificate and an opportunity to attend the forum's plenary session as observers.
Selected entries from the governance category may be developed into formal science and technology reports, while innovation-focused entries may be featured in a special column of Pujiang Technology Review magazine.
Furthermore, participants may be considered for recommendation to organizations such as the Shanghai Young Scientists Club and the Shanghai Science and Technology 35 Under 35 program. Other opportunities include exclusive interviews, promotional support, invitations to speak at the Pujiang Innovation Forum Youth Hubs, and participation in youth salons and training programs.
Submissions can be made through the activity portal on the Pujiang Innovation Forum website.
