WeStart TOP100 launches global call for startups
The 2025 WeStart TOP100 Competition is now accepting applications from innovation teams or companies worldwide, offering a gateway into Shanghai's fast-growing urban tech ecosystem.
As a core part of this year's WeStart Global Entrepreneurial Investment Conference, scheduled for Sept 20 to 22, the competition seeks to bring together top talent and emerging technologies on a global stage.
Who can apply
1. The competition is open to global innovation teams or companies with high-growth potential and breakthrough technological achievements (enterprises registered in Shanghai should be established after January 1, 2025). The team should have at least three core members.
2. Participants must have a clean record with no major offenses, criminal or otherwise, and must comply with the laws of China.
3. Applicants are required to submit a comprehensive proposal covering:
- The problem and proposed solution
- Market analysis, including total addressable market
- Value proposition and positioning strategy
- Go-to-market approach
- Business and revenue model
- Key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones
- Financial forecasts for 2025/2026
- Team overview and financing requirements
4. Projects must include undisputed independent intellectual property rights or core technologies that demonstrate clear innovation and commercial potential.
