A pivotal international talent exchange conference aimed at building a sustainable future for global talents will be held on Oct 23 at the Banma Suhe International Conference Center in Putuo district, Shanghai.

The event will bring together representatives from both domestic and international companies, such as Google, Alibaba Cloud, SenseTime, McKinsey, Forbes, CATL, and NIO, alongside leaders from the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China and its over 500 member enterprises worldwide, to explore sustainable growth and talent innovation.

In alignment with Shanghai's beneficial talent policy, Putuo has crafted a comprehensive service system tailored to its regional talent structure, which supports attracting, developing, retaining, and using talent resources while integrating work-life service scenarios. It has recognized 832 high-level talents from over 650 key research institutes and leading enterprises in the district.

As part of its "talent privilege service package", Putuo offers meticulous health services to talents, who can receive customized medical cards granting access to top-tier hospitals and expedited services. Annual health check-ups are also provided to cater to individual needs.

Housing support is a cornerstone of Putuo's talent retention strategy. With 10,755 talent housing units available, the district fosters a supportive environment for newcomers. A new policy introduced in March offers up to six months of full rental subsidies to new international and domestic talents. This initiative has benefited many, with over 70 percent holding master's degrees or higher overseas.

Putuo has also established a dedicated talent service network, comprising over 200 service specialists offering personalized support. From intellectual property seminars to financial matchmaking, and from facilitating regional collaborations to daily policy guidance, these "talent stewards" provide professional support to the talents in the district.

By building a tailored talent service ecosystem, Putuo emphasizes career development and enhances the quality of life and emotional well-being of its talents, addressing their diverse work and lifestyle needs.
