A large-scale autumn employment promotion campaign and Yangtze River Delta human resources service agency job fair was held in Shanghai on Nov 18, attracting 1,000 employers from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui provinces, and Shanghai.

The fair was centered on three leading industries — integrated circuits, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence — and aligned them with six key sectors: electronic information, life health, automotive, high-end equipment, advanced materials, and fashion consumer goods.

Among the employers, 113 were from the three leading industries and 147 represented the six key sectors. Together, they offered 31,526 high-quality positions in fields such as R&D, technical, management, administration, marketing, customer service, cross-border trade, new media operations, and education consulting. The event drew approximately 10,000 attendees and resulted in more than 3,700 initial job interests.

Ding Feng, an official from the Shanghai Public Human Resources Service Center, said that the traditional "Golden September, Silver October" recruitment season has ended, and the fair was designed to give students who had not secured suitable roles another chance. He also noted that organizers spent twice the usual amount of time mobilizing companies and sourcing job openings through multiple channels.

The fair introduced an "interview express" service zone  in response to job seekers' frustrations with previous fairs, where online applications often went unanswered. The new zone provided a direct path from resume submission to on-site interviews and early job offers, strengthening matching efficiency and improving the candidate experience.

The event also highlighted technological empowerment in human resources services. The AI Experience Zone featured various smart terminal devices, including AI resume optimization and printing machines, AI interview screens, and AI career planning systems, covering the entire process from resume writing to career planning and mock interviews.

In addition to these services, a live-streaming job recommendation channel was launched, allowing HR professionals to promote positions online, answer questions in real time, and schedule cloud interviews, establishing an integrated online-offline public human resource service system.

The human resources and social security window provided face-to-face policy consultations and professional guidance for job seekers and employers, with insights into areas like social security, employment, entrepreneurship, housing, and labor rights protection.

In recent years, human resources departments from the three provinces and Shanghai have strengthened cooperation through joint mechanisms and shared resources. During the event, public human resources service centers and talent service centers from these areas signed a collaborative agreement to co-host talent recruitment events, share job information, enable cross-provincial handling of personnel files, standardize basic public human resources services, and innovate with AI-powered human resources services.

Online branch venues in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui connected to the fair through a unified platform, linking data and shared resources across the Yangtze River Delta region, further extending the accessibility and coverage of services.
