Shanghai hosted the Zhangjiang Innovation Ecosystem Summit 2025 in Pudong New Area on Dec 26.

At the summit, the "Naxian 800 International Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base" was launched, and the upgraded Vπ incubator was unveiled, marking a milestone in the development of Zhangjiang Science City's incubation and innovation ecosystem.

A group of pioneering start-up teams in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, and future health signed agreements to establish operations at the base.

Located in the Zhangjiang Artificial Intelligence Innovation Town above Zhongke Road station on Metro Line 13, the base serves as affordable first stop for young scientific entrepreneurs and hard-tech enterprises.

The base focuses on the digital information sector and future-oriented fields such as photonic chips and quantum technology. It collaborates with surrounding industrial parks such as the AI Island and Mobility Community, and leverages innovation resources from institutions like ShanghaiTech University, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Baidu, and Nvidia, providing direct industrial matchmaking for participating projects.

Through a professional service team, the base has established a full-lifecycle service system, covering one-stop business settlement, policy subsidies, investment and financing, and industry integration. It also cooperates with organizations such as CASSTAR and XNode to foster international and futuristic industries.

As a core element of Zhangjiang Science City's incubation ecosystem, the base is building a "vertical growth path". Starting from shared spaces on the first floor, the facility is organized vertically into layers for the nursery, incubation, acceleration, and future technology, aiming to establish an internationally leading innovation hub.

The upgraded Vπ incubator focuses on future industries, incubation investment, and ecosystem connections. It will use "achievement π" to drive laboratory outcome transformations, "incubation π" to offer professional incubation services, and "venture π" to support enterprises scaling and enhancement.

Leveraging the innovation ecosystem of Zhangjiang, Vπ aims to become a partner that provides comprehensive support for innovators and entrepreneurs, nurturing high-potential enterprises.
