Shanghai's Baoshan District Talent Bureau recently organized a special cultural exchange event for more than 40 international students from Shanghai University's international department. The event included policy briefings, company visits, and garden tours.

During the policy interpretation session, participants were introduced to key aspects of career development in Shanghai. The session covered application processes, document checklists, and the latest policies facilitating work permits and residence permits for foreign nationals.

To further enhance service precision, the event also featured dedicated consultation booths, where participants received tailored answers to their inquiries.

During the technological exploration, participants visited a local technology company, founded by a Shanghai University alumnus. He shared his entrepreneurial journey, including exploration, breakthroughs, and achievements in R&D and market expansion. Through the visit, participants experienced firsthand the district's vibrant tech innovation ecosystem and gained deeper insights into the incubation support available at Baoshan Science Park for young entrepreneurs, ranging from resource matchmaking to full-cycle growth empowerment.

The event also featured a cultural session to celebrate the new year. Participants engaged in games with traditional Chinese elements, including "New Year's toss and win", "drawing lucky fortune slips", and "fishing for good luck". These activities fostered warm interactions and helped build lasting connections through cross-cultural exchanges.

The students also participated in a Chinese calligraphy workshop where they learned to write characters such as "福" (fortune, blessing) and "马" (horse). Through each stroke, they experienced the unique charm of Chinese characters and created a unique New Year's memory in Baoshan.
