To recognize and commend foreign nationals who have made outstanding contributions to Changning district's economic development, social progress, and international exchanges and cooperation, and to enhance the district's international appeal, applications for the 3rd Changning District "Hongqiao Friendship Award" are now open.

I. Eligibility

Applicants must be foreign nationals who are firm and long-standing friends of China, have a good social reputation and public image, and have made outstanding contributions to the economic development, social progress, and international exchanges and cooperation of Shanghai and Changning district.

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. Have made outstanding contributions to the district's international friendly exchanges, the establishment of cooperative relationships, and the development of friendship-city partnerships;

2. Have made significant contributions to the district's economic development and achieved notable economic benefits, or have assisted the district in expanding domestic and international markets, promoting economic and trade activities, or introducing investment, equipment, technology, and talent;

3. Have actively introduced advanced technology or management expertise to the district, or helped solve key technical or managerial problems and fill critical gaps, achieving substantial economic or social benefits;

4. Have been engaged in social work in the district, made contributions to volunteer services, social welfare, or charitable initiatives, and generated positive social impact;

5. Have made outstanding contributions in other fields related to the district's economic and social development, such as education, health, culture, or scientific research.

II. Application procedures

Eligible applicants shall be nominated by their employers. Employers will submit the application materials to the relevant industry authority, the subdistrict office, or the town government where they are located. The materials will then be collected and submitted to the district's foreign commendation office.

III. Application materials and requirements

1. A completed Changning District "Hongqiao Friendship Award" application form;

2. A copy of the information page of the applicant's passport;

3. One recent 2‑inch color photo, affixed to the application form;

4. Electronic materials: the application form in DOCX or WPS format, a color scan of the passport information page in JPEG or PDF format, and the recent 2‑inch color photo in JPEG format.

Note: All materials must be objective and fair. The applicant's main achievements should be detailed and reliable, with accurate data and key points highlighted. If any information is confidential or if the applicant or their employer does not wish to publicize certain details, this should be explicitly stated in the submitted materials.
