Shanghai's Minhang district hosted a youth talent innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem promotion conference on July 25, drawing more than 150 participants, including representatives from the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Talent Work, the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Commission, cooperative projects, venture capital institutions, overseas talent workstations, and global talent ambassadors.

During the conference, the Hongqiao International Youth Innovation Hub was officially launched. Integrating business incubation, industry matching, and international services, the hub is Shanghai's first specialized international entrepreneurial platform dedicated to youth talent, providing end-to-end support for innovation, business development, and global collaboration.

The hub's core operating spaces are divided into an integrated service and activity center and a zero‑cost co‑working incubation office area, equipped with facilities such as an entrepreneurship market, a coffee shop, and a roadshow hall, providing tiered shared office spaces for entrepreneurial teams at different stages.

During its trial operation, the hub has attracted the first batch of 13 cutting-edge youth entrepreneurship projects across a range of frontier technologies.

Building on 19 OPC communities, Minhang is also developing a "youth innovation collaboration zone" to promote the exchange of policy, capital, technology, talent, and other resources across the district.

Since the start of 2026, Minhang has established several overseas talent workstations in Silicon Valley, London, and other locations worldwide. At the event, a group of industry leaders was newly appointed as global talent ambassadors for the district to help it attract more talent worldwide.

Meanwhile, the establishment of the Hongqiao International Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Co-development Alliance was announced at the conference. It brings together State‑owned capital platforms, science and technology innovation carriers, key enterprises, venture capital, and professional service institutions to provide integrated services.

In recent years, the Hongqiao International CBD has launched a dedicated science and technology innovation service package tailored for young talent, covering policy support, professional services, and resource matching.

The event also featured a range of activities, including a roundtable forum with industry leaders and a TR35 representative, a theme salon, and a youth entrepreneurship market.
