Canadian athletic apparel brand lululemon recently launched its 2025 Summer Sweat Games — a nationwide fitness challenge and one of the featured "City Customized Events" in the ongoing Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season.

As the brand's iconic annual community event, the Summer Sweat Games invite people to connect through movement and to celebrate the joys of sweating it out together during the hottest months of the year.

This year's event spans 42 cities and 161 stores across China and unfolds in three exciting stages:

- Store Challenge (now to July 25): Teams of four (two men and two women) complete four collaborative fitness challenges to compete for 75 spots in the next round.

- Regional Finals (July 26 to Aug 9): The leading teams face off in city-level competitions to earn a place in the national finals, with the top eight advancing to the championship round.

- National Finals (Aug 23): Finalists battle it out for the championship title, medals and lululemon gear worth 100,000 yuan (about $13,945).

The Shanghai regional final will once again transform Anyi Road in Jing'an district — a bustling shopping area — into a lively outdoor arena on Aug 2.

Spectators can join in the fun with free fitness experiences along the "Sweat Avenue", which will open on July 26. The program includes playful physical challenges and live workouts led by lululemon ambassadors — making everyone part of the action, not just bystanders.

Fitness fans can now form teams and sign up through the "lululemon热汗生活" mini program on WeChat.
