Executive Vice Mayor: Wu Wei
Wu Wei, male, Han ethnicity, was born in August 1969. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and holds a doctor's degree in economics.
Duties
Wu Wei's responsibilities cover the following areas:
- Development and reform (energy and prices);
- Emergency management, and comprehensive population management;
- Finance, taxation, and statistical surveys;
- National defense mobilization;
- Construction of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Lin-gang Special Area;
- Integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta;
- Proposal handling, and government transparency;
- Assistance in managing finance and auditing work.
He supervises several municipal government departments:
- Development and Reform Commission (Price Bureau)
- Grain and Material Reserve Bureau
- Emergency Management Bureau
- Local Financial Management Bureau
- Shanghai Municipal Tax Service, State Taxation Administration
- Statistics Bureau
- Shanghai Municipal National Defense Mobilization Office (Municipal Civil Air Defense Office)
He assists in managing the Finance Bureau and the Audit Bureau.
He also maintains communication with the Shanghai Administration Institute.
