Executive Vice-Mayor: Wu Wei

Wu Wei, male, Han ethnicity, was born in August 1969. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and holds a doctoral degree in economics.
Duties
Wu Wei's responsibilities cover:
- Development and reform (energy and prices);
- Emergency management and comprehensive population management;
- Finance, taxation, and statistical surveys;
- National defense mobilization;
- Development of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, including the Lin-gang Special Area;
- Integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region;
- Handling suggestions and proposals, and government transparency;
- Government services;
- People's armed forces affairs.
Wu Wei also assists in managing finance and auditing work.
Wu Wei supervises the following government departments:
- Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission (Shanghai Municipal Price Bureau)
- Shanghai Food and Strategic Reserves Administration
- Shanghai Emergency Management Bureau
- Shanghai Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau
- Shanghai Municipal Tax Service, State Taxation Administration
- Shanghai Municipal Statistics Bureau
- Shanghai Municipal National Defense Mobilization Office (Shanghai Municipal Civil Air Defense Office)
Wu Wei assists in managing the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Finance and the Shanghai Municipal Audit Bureau and maintains communication with the Shanghai Administration Institute and the armed forces (the People's Armed Police Force).
