SPSI Art Museum
The SPSI Art Museum, established in 1965, is China's first public research institution dedicated to art mediums of oil painting and sculpture.
Located in Shanghai's Changning district, it is an important venue within the Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute.
Over the years, the museum has housed numerous generations of artists who have made significant contributions to Chinese contemporary art.
Artists such as Wu Dayu, Zhang Chongren, Zhou Bichu and Yu Yunjie are well-regarded domestically and internationally for their impact on the history of modern Chinese art.
The museum has also been a platform for younger and older oil painters and sculptors to pursue their craft and achieve success and influence.
